The Gator Maids Break a Record with Vets
It’s the biggest benefit the Gator Maids organization has ever done.
The Gator Maid’s women’s charity group presented the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association with a check of over $10,000. The money will go to veterans on the Coast in need of help.
The Gator Maids have been donating to charities for more than 20 years, but this amount stumps their record. The money was raised when the group partnered with the Combat Vets to put together a benefit lunch with live bands in Biloxi. Gator Maid member Jennifer Dutchover tells News 25 all the effort was worth it. “It feels awesome. We worked so hard. We are so blessed to be able to give this money and help some veterans with power wheelchairs and whatever they need. All this money will go a long way.”
The Gator Maids presented the check in front of Salute restaurant in Gulfport. The group meets there once a month.
