Deadline To Report Flood Damage Extended

The deadline for people to notify Gulfport city officials of flood damage has been extended until 8 am on Monday May 9.

This comes after Governor Phil Bryant declared a state of emergency yesterday for Harrison County.
Gulfport city officials say this opens the doors for state funds to assist with drainage infrastructure improvements in the affected areas and is the next step in getting federal assistance.
If federal declaration is granted, direct benefits for affected homeowners and business owners could include low interest recovery loans and other FEMA grants

If you have yet to report damage to your home or business please call 311 or (228)868-5700.
Again the deadline has been extended until 8 am Monday May 9th.
