The 2024 Rebel Road Trip makes its way to the coast with a stop in Biloxi

Rebels fans paced the Ground Zero Blues Club for the 2024 Rebel Road Trip stop on the coast in Biloxi.

Head football coach Lane Kiffin and men’s basketball coach Chris Beard both made appearances as they spoke and met with fans who attended. Sports 25 had the chance to speak with Ole Miss Athletic Director Keith Carter and men’s basketball coach Chris Beard about why events like these are so important to a university’s athletic department like Ole Miss.

“I think they are really important, you know, we ask these folks to get in their cars and drive five or six hours north to our games, be in the stands, and support our student athletes,” said AD Keith Carter.  “We need to come and be on their turf too and spread some Rebel cheer. I always enjoy the Rebel Road Trips. It’s a little bit of a grind, we are doing seven events in two weeks, which is hard but it’s really cool. We have had some great events and this is another one that we are really looking forward too, so I think this is important. Get our coaches out in front of folks, really get excited for next year, so I think these are really important.”

“Yeah the supporters, alumni, fans, donors…this is kind of the bloodline of things that we do,” Chris Beard said.  “This is something that we look forward to every spring, every summer, and meeting so many fun people. We have season ticket holders that live in this part of the state. More than anything it’s just a thank you for supporting Ole Miss. These relationships are very important, obviously.”
