Ten million dollar development coming to Ocean Springs

A stretch of woods along Highway 90 in Ocean Springs will soon be cleared to make way for a new ten million dollar mixed use development.
The new facility, called the Inlet, will hold retail shops, restaurants, and living spaces on an eight acre lot just east of Bechtel Boulevard.
Developers, the Thrash Group, expect to break ground in May for the five building complex. Each building will be three stories high and two will have condos on the second and third stories with about 12,000 square feet of space for commercial use underneath. Ocean Springs Mayor Connie Moran said, “It’s been in the works for several years. The developers have projects all over the southeast. We’re very happy to see this finally breaking ground. It will bring more people here, more residents, more growth and a significant investment. We’re always looking for economic development expansion opportunities in our town.”
The developer has gifted seven acres of land behind the property to the Land Trust who will create nature trails connecting to their Twelve Oaks property.
