Temporary drive-up COVID-19 screening test took place in D’Iberville today
Residents in D’Iberville had the chance to get tested for COVID-19 from their cars today.
Memorial Hospital had set up a temporary COVID-19 screening location in the parking lot of the D’Iberville Civic Center.
If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms you are urged to get tested. You will first be tested for the flu. If that comes back negative, you will be tested for the novel Coronavirus.
You are asked to wear a mask, bring your drivers license or photo ID and insurance card if you have one.
The hospital will seek reimbursement, but no out of pocket or co-pay will be expected at the time of the drive-thru service. Memorial Hospital Practice Manager Eddie Maddox said, “We’re just trying to reach out to the community, actually set foot in the community to make sure we are reaching out to everyone in reference to this COVID-19 virus that we have going on today.”
There will be other drive-up COVID screening locations later this week.
All temporary testing sites are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Locations include:
- Thursday, April 23rd at the Lyman Community Center
- Friday, April 24th at the West Harrison Civic Center
- Tuesday, April 28th at the Woolmarket Civic Center
