Temporary Commissioner Appointed to Mental Health Center Board

The Harrison County Board of Supervisors has appointed a temporary commissioner to the Gulf Coast Mental Health Center’s Board of Commissioners.

On Monday, the Board of Supervisors appointed Pam Ulrich as a commissioner.

She currently serves as County Administrator for Harrison County.

As the Commissioner’s Board will face restructuring in the future, in the wake of the county’s recent Mental Health Center’s crisis, Ulrich says she is honored to accept the position.

One of her main goals in this new position is to help create long-term financial sustainability for the Gulf Coast Mental Health Center.

Harrison County is the majority county financial contributor for the GCMHC, which is overseen by commissioners appointed by the counties of Harrison, Hancock and Stone counties.
