Teens arrested in George County after reckless driving case

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- George County deputies say two juveniles are facing charges after a reckless driving call led to a damaged patrol vehicle and reports of vandalism.

The George County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the Sally Parker Road area after reports of a reckless driver.

While searching for the vehicle, a deputy says a beer can was thrown from the car, striking the patrol unit and shattering the windshield.

Investigators also linked the same vehicle to reports of damaged mailboxes along River Road.

The juvenile driver now faces charges including DUI, malicious mischief, minor in possession of alcohol, littering, petit larceny, and no proof of insurance.

The passenger was charged with minor in possession of alcohol.
