Teenager accidentally shoots himself

A 16-year-old boy accidentally shoots himself outside of the Walmart on Highway 49 in Gulfport.
According to Gulfport Police Sgt. Joshua Bromen, the 16-year-old boy shot himself in the right leg inside a vehicle in the parking lot. The teen then walked inside the store shortly before 10:30 this morning asking for help. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment of a non life-threatening injury.
This incident is still under investigation.
