Teen sentenced in Kingston Frazier’s death
A teenager has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in the death of a six-year-old boy who authorities say was inside a car stolen from a Jackson supermarket parking lot.
Eighteen-year-old D’Allen Washington was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty in February to accessory after the fact in the kidnapping of Kingston Frazier. Washington has agreed to testify against two others in the case including Byron McBride.
Prosecutors say McBride shot and killed Frazier after stealing the car in which he was sleeping. They want to seek the death penalty against him.
A third teen, Dwan Wakefield, also faces accessory charges.
Kingston Frazier’s father, William Frazier, spoke in court against the sentencing, saying all three participated in stealing the car.
