Teacher arrested on felony abuse charges in Harrison County
HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-A Harrison County judge issues three felony warrants against a Lyman Elementary teacher, accused of the abuse of three special needs children.
That’s according to our media partner, the Sun Herald.
Justice Court Judge Diane Ladner issued the warrants on Heather Jennings after court hearings where Gulfport police presented evidence in the matter.
Police reviewed classroom surveillance video and observed more than 30 cases of alleged suspicious behavior involving three victims, ranging in age from six to eight years old.
Jennings was taken to the Harrison County Jail Wednesday on a $300,000 bond.
Each of the felony counts have a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
