Taste, Rattle and Roll
Gumbo, oysters, chocolate mousse: those are just a few of the delicious cuisines on the menu tonight at the Gulfport Chamber of Commerce’s Taste, Rattle and Roll fundraiser.
From 6 to 9 in the beach tower at Island View Casino, guests could listen to live music, eat and drink. Restaurants like Ms. Audrey’s, Fleur De Lis Gourmet Bakery and Half Shell Oyster House brought some of their best dishes to showcase.
Jennifer Lee, manager of marketing and entertainment at the Island View Casino, says tonight’s event is a great way the Gulfport Chamber of Commerce can raise money for local organizations. “Taste, Rattle and Roll is in its second year from the Gulfport chamber. It’s one of our programs of work where the funds support our scholarship programs, small business grants. It’s reinvested back into economic development within the area in the City of Gulfport trying to do some networking and some good for the community.”
Tickets were $35 at the door. Proceeds will go towards high school scholarships, teacher grants, small business grants and many other community initiatives.
