Taste of Biloxi Raises Money for Salvation Army Youth Programs
Thursday night, the Salvation Army Kroc Center was transformed into an elegant restaurant sampling as it hosted the 2nd Annual Taste of Biloxi.
Twenty-five restaurants and food vendors put out spreads with their tastiest treats for more than 400 attendees. Restaurants from Dickey’s BBQ to the Half Shell Oyster House hosted tables at the event. Attendees were also able to bid on over 100 silent auction items, all for a good cause.
Major Gary Sturdivant, Area Commander of the Salvation Army, says, “All the proceeds from tonight’s event will go to our youth activities, youth programs here at the Salvation Army, where we have music classes, creative arts, dance, drama. We’ve got it all here at the Salvation Army Kroc Center.”
Local businesses also contributed to a silent auction to make the event a success.
