Swing for a Cause

Oversized marshmallows were flying through the air today at the Bridges Golf Course at the Hollywood Casino in Bay St. Louis.
The longest drive contest, using an oversized marshmallow instead of a golf ball, was only one part of the Hancock Chamber’s annual Swing for a Cause. Today over 150 companies participated in this golf tournament with a twist. It’s all for a good cause. The tournament supports more than 20 community causes under the Hancock Community Development Foundation.
Executive Director for the Hancock Chamber of Commerce Tish Williams said, “One of the really exciting things that’s happening today is some of our corporate leaders have come forward. Chemours at the De Lisle plant also issued a challenge to some of our other sponsors to sponsor a first responder today for a day of golf. What a great way to thank them for their service to our community than with a day of golf.”
Other activities included a longest drive contest with a real golf ball and a closest to the pin contest.
