Swimmers competing in 15th annual Santa’s Best Swim Meet in Biloxi

The Biloxi Natatorium will be having its 15th annual ‘Santa’s Best Swim Meet’ over the weekend hosted by the Biloxi Elite swim team.

The meet will have 350 swimmers from ten teams from Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama.

It’s a short course competition where swimmers will be swimming free style, breast stroke, back stroke, and butterfly.

Swimmers will be competing in an indoor 50 meter by 25-yard heated pool with a ten to 12 lane.

The event started today at 5 p.m. It’ll start again Saturday and Sunday from 8:45 to 3 p.m. The event is free to the public to attend. City of Biloxi Public Affairs Manager Cecilia Dobbs Walton said, “Living on the Coast, you know swimming is something that a lot of people need to learn and should know and have that skill. But of course being here at the natatorium and having this facility that we do is just a great experience to add on to living on the Gulf Coast being a resident, being a visitor on the Gulf Coast and of course for anyone that wants to swim.”

The Biloxi Natatorium is open all year round. Visit biloxi.ms.us for more information.
