Swearing in ceremony for officials in City of Gautier

GAUTIER, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Gautier held a swearing-in ceremony for those office holders elected in the June 3 municipal elections.

Each ward’s council member took the Oath of Office in front of family and friends at the Sound Amphitheater, followed by Council Member At Large Eric Minor, and Mayor Casey Vaughan as he enters his second term as mayor.

Though this was an official government event, residents celebrated alongside their new city leaders after the ceremony with refreshments and live music.

The newly elected officials will officially take office on July 1.
