Suspects Arrested in Gulfport Shooting

Gulfport police have made two arrests in yesterday’s shooting that left two people injured, including one of the alleged gunmen.
Police have charged 23-year-old Dominique Mikell of Gulfport with aggravated assault and possession with the intent to distribute marijuana. Forty-six year-old Phyllis Frazier, also of Gulfport, was charged with possession of a weapon by a felon.
The two are allegedly behind a shooting at New Village Apartments yesterday morning that left an adult male with a gunshot wound in the upper torso.
Police say Mikell accidentally shot himself in the groin area while trying to restore his weapon. There were no life-threatening injuries.
Both suspects were taken to the Harrison County Jail on $70,000 and $25,000 bonds.
