Suspected Pick Axe Burglar Arrested

Man accused of breaking into homes in Jackson County with a pick axe was arrested over the weekend. 36 year old Anthony Lee Smith was picked up near O’Neal Road in Vancleave Saturday after two days spent in the woods. Officials with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department say he was treated by medical personnel for dehydration. Authorities had been looking for him since early Friday morning. Smith is charged with felony home invasion.
