Suspect wanted on six counts of aggravated assault in Gulfport

On July 31, 2024, at approximately 4:50 p.m., the Gulfport Police Department was notified of an aggravated assault that occurred on July 27, 2024, near the intersection of 33rd Avenue and 24th Street.

During the investigation, Detectives identified Jabari Tyre Whitehead as the suspect. Whitehead allegedly brandished two handguns and fired at a vehicle containing multiple occupants.

Whitehead is currently wanted on six counts of aggravated assault. He is described as a 19-year-old black male, approximately 6’1″ and 180 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
