Suspect wanted for simple robbery in Gulfport

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- A suspect is wanted in Gulfport for simple robbery.

On May 23, officers with Gulfport Police Department responded to a business on Lorraine Road in reference to an attempted robbery.

During the investigation, officers identified Johnathan David Lamar Jordan as the suspect. The investigation determined that Jordan attempted to go behind the counter and demand money before assaulting an employee and then fleeing the scene.

Jordan is wanted for one count of simple robbery. He is described as a 24-year-old black male, approximately 6’2”, weighing 170 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.
