Suspect wanted for domestic violence arrested

Sheriff Troy Peterson announced the arrest of O’keem Anderson for aggravated domestic violence.

The arrest stemmed from an incident in Jackson County where Anderson shot his wife during a domestic altercation. Anderson was broadcasted as a fugitive from justice and was learned to have absconded to Harrison County.

Based on aforementioned facts, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, assisted by the Gulfport Police VIPER unit, obtained intelligence that Anderson was currently hiding within a residence in the 20000 block of Seattle Slew Avenue in Harrison County.

Upon arrival at the residence, investigators observed Anderson entering and exiting the residence with clothing and personal hygiene items as he was planning to relocate from the residence.

Investigators subsequently approached and apprehended Anderson without incident as he exited the garage of the residence. A search warrant was then executed at the residence where a travel bag packed with essentials and a stolen 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle was recovered within.

Anderson was relinquished to the custody of Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and warrants are pending for charges of possession of stolen property regarding the stolen vehicle in Harrison County.
