Alabama authorities have taken the suspect in Friday’s Scratch Kitchen shooting into custody.

Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers helped identify the suspect. He is identified in arrest records as Fadarius Williams.

Mobile police officers arrested Williams and he was booked into the jail on Saturday.

He is currently being held for safekeeping for Mississippi authorities.

Ocean Springs police say Williams is currently facing a charge of first-degree murder, additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.

The shooting left one person dead and six others were shot.

Mayor Kenny Holloway is the first city official to say the shooting was an ‘intentional act’ and not a random act of violence.
