Suspect in Jackson County shooting, two others in custody

A suspect in a Wednesday morning shooting is in custody.
According to the Jackson County jail docket, 27-year-old Isaiah Presley of Ocean Springs was booked into the jail Thursday morning. He is charged with aggravated assault and bond has not been set. An initial appearance is set for Friday in County Court.
Presley was arrested about 5:30 a.m. after the Sheriff’s Office received a tip that the suspect was at an Ocean Springs hotel. Presley also faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. More charges are possible.
In addition, two sisters are charged with hindering prosecution. 28-year-old Beverly Bartholomew and 36-year-old Cynthia Jarmon, both of Ocean Springs. The Sheriff’s Office said it was at the sisters’ St. Andrews/Fountainbleu area home on Octavia Street where the shooting occurred Wednesday morning about 10:30 a.m.
Jackson County Sheriff’s investigators say Presley and the victim got into an argument and the victim was shot in the hand. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
