Suspect arrested on one count of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death

Gulfport police arrested a suspect accused of leaving the scene of an accident causing death.

Police on Saturday responded to the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Courthouse Road, where they found a person dead at the scene and another victim was taken to the hospital.

Detectives identified 47-year-old LaQuenta Quinn as the driver. According to the police, Quinn left his car and ran away on foot.

Gulfport PD announced on social media that Quinn was located and arrested thanks in part to tips from the community.

He was taken to the Harrison County jail and bond was set at $200,000.
