Suspect arrested in November shooting in Bay St. Louis
HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss (WXXV)- Bay St. Louis police have arrested the man accused of shooting two people at a city park in late November.
Bay St. Louis Police Chief Alvin Kingston says 18-year-old John Galloway Jr. was taken into custody at a home on Coyle Street in the Bayside community around 8 PM Tuesday night on aggravated assault and burglary charges.
Galloway is accused of shooting two people at Martin Luther King Jr. City Park the night of November 29.
The two victims suffered non-life threatening injuries, and police later determined Galloway and the victims all knew each other prior to the shooting.
Galloway is being held now at the Hancock County Jail in lieu of a $325,000 bond.
The Bay St. Louis Police Department, Waveland Police Department, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Marshals Service all helped take Galloway into custody.
