Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
If you’ve driven around Gulfport, you’ve probably seen little pink bows tied on light poles and various signs. It’s all part of promoting breast cancer awareness and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure this weekend.
The Mississippi Steel Magnolias will be holding the second annual Race for the Cure on the Mississippi Gulfport Coast. According to organizers, the Gulf Coast race is part of the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world. Race for the Cure promotes breast health awareness, celebrates survivors, encourage breast cancer patients and honors those we have lost.
The event is scheduled for the morning of Saturday, November 14th at Jones Park in Gulfport. Registration starts at 7 and the walk starts at 8.
