Surrounded by Big Teddy Love: WXXV Viewers Help First Responders

Teddy bears are always comforting and a perfect fit for youngsters, especially when they are faced with a traumatic event.
That’s why we at WXXV recently partnered with Mississippi Festival and Fair Pageants for a teddy bear drive. Thanks to you, our viewers, and a local Girl Scout troop, more than 450 stuffed animals were collected. Today the donations were distributed to local first responders who will use the stuffed animals to comfort children they encounter in traumatic situations. The stuffed animals will be given out to South Mississippi police departments, fire departments, sheriff departments and other emergency workers throughout our area.
