Surprise Pep Rally For Students
Fourth grade students at Jackson Elementary will soon begin state testing, but before they do, the school put on quite the surprise to motivate the youngsters.
Parents joined students this morning in Pascagoula for a surprise school pep rally, hoping to brighten their spirits before testing. Teachers who helped organize the pep rally tell News 25 four days of state testing can put stress on the youngsters, so cheering them on and showing support really brightens their spirits. Assistant teacher Chasitie Holliday said, “I like decorating the hallways. I like to get them involved into coming to a happy place because they’re stressed out when they come to school, there’s other things going on so when they come into the hallway it’s easy for them to relax when they see something fun like this.”
This is the first time the school threw a surprise pep rally before state testing.
