Sunday storms cause minor damage, flooding in Jackson County
JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-Sunday was an active weather day in South Mississippi.
Thunderstorms dumping a lot of rain, especially in Jackson County, and even reports of a few tornadoes.
These are viewer submitted videos and pictures of road conditions in Jackson County, showing water on parts of Highway 63 and 613.
The Jackson County Office of Emergency Services says more than six to eight inches of rain fell in the Hurley area alone.
County emergency officials also say there were three radar-verified tornadoes in the county, two in the Vancleave area and one in Hurley.
No injuries have been reported, but there is minor damage reported in the Fox Ridge and School Land Road areas of Vancleave.
