Summerfield Senior Living of Gulfport opens

A brand new high-end senior living facility has opened in Gulfport on North Swan Road.

Summerfield Senior Living of Gulfport has 88 luxury apartment style residences, 18 of which are exclusively for memory care.

The facility has eight interconnected buildings that sit on 21 acres of rolling land and is the first Summerfield location to feature a pecan orchard, scenic walking paths, a stocked fishing pond with a pier, a bird sanctuary, a barn with an array of animals, a resident greenhouse, and a crop garden.

Director of Community Relations Missy Dutcher said, “We are focused on engagement. Staying engaged mentally, physically, mobility wise, as well as socially and emotionally. We find that these are the qualities that need to be focused on in order to have a fulfilled life as a senior and no longer look at the decline, but look at continuing living with a wonderful environment.”
