Summer Kroc Camp
If you are looking for somewhere to send your kids, full day Summer Kroc Camp may be the place for you.
The camp held at the Kroc Center in Biloxi begins with a devotional every morning then children attending Camp Kroc begin many activities. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 do everything from swimming to arts and crafts plus field trips.
Drop off for the camp starts at 7:30 a.m. with pick up at 6 p.m.
There are also specialty camps for kids interested in activities like track, basketball or even cooking.
Camp organizers say children love the camp and are worn out when picked up at the end of the day, but don’t just take their word for it. Salvation Army Kroc Camp Director of Operations Erin Darche said, “We’ve had some really great feedback. They feel like their kids are very well taken care of. They like it that the counselors aren’t just watching them play the game, they’re playing the game with them. They’re learning about faith, about God and they’re learning how to interact with each other in a positive way.”
There’s an $80 registration fee. The camp is $75 a week for members and $85 for non-members. For more information visit krocmscoast.org/camps.
