Summer Feeding Program Begins

If you get hungry while you’re out enjoying summer in Pass Christian, there’s no need to look further.
The Summer Feeding Program at Pass Christian Elementary and Pass Christian Middle School has begun. The school’s nutrition department will provide free breakfast and lunch for kids 18 and under.
A food service employee with the school district tells News 25 the Summer Feeding Program helps the community by creating a safe place for kids to get something to eat without putting a stop to their fun. Jessica Willis with the Pass Christian School District said, “Any time you can provide a meal for free, it’s a help to anyone and it doesn’t matter financially or economically, it’s always to help a family. In these times, we need help. It’s a great program and it doesn’t depend on any of your income levels.”
The free meals will be served Monday through Friday in the school’s cafeteria until July 22nd. Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. and lunch goes from 11 a.m. until 12:30.
