Suiting Up for South Mississippi Halloween Events

There’s plenty for you to do here in South Mississippi for Halloween. Here’s a quick look at just a few events going on this week in our area.

Wednesday night Saturday, everyone is invited to come out for Halloween at the fairgrounds in Harrison County. Halloween at the Fairgrounds will run the next four days, Wednesday, October 30th, Halloween on Thursday, and then on Friday and Saturday, starting each day at 6 pm at the Harrison County Fairgrounds, located at 15321 County Farm Road in north Gulfport. There will be a haunted barn and costume contest. On Wednesday, there will be free refreshments at the annual Trunk-or-Treat!

If you live in Hancock County, you can watch history come back to life Halloween evening!Just head out to Cedar Rest Cemetery in the 200 block of South Second Street in Bay St. Louis. The Cedar Rest Cemetery Tour will be open to the public Thursday at sunset, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on Halloween. In the tour you’ll meet people dressed up in period clothing re-enacting the lives of those citizens buried at Cedar Rest Cemetery.
