Students to be relocated from Jackson Elementary in Pascagoula

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)- The Pascagoula Gautier School District shares an update from their board of trustees meeting.

A decision has been made to relocate students and staff of Jackson Elementary to Cherokee Elementary for the next school year.

Superintendent Caterria Payton saying the decision was not made lightly, listening to the community’s stories.

Payton added that the school district will honor the legacy of Jackson Elementary with intention and respect.
