Students deliver Christmas trees to nursing homes
This afternoon, the Harrison County Acts of Random Kindness Club met at West Wortham Elementary and Middle School looking to spread holiday cheer.
Students decorated 106 small Christmas trees to give to residents at a nursing home on the Coast. The club is involved all around the community, meeting twice a month to come up with ways to make a difference.
From goodie bags for veterans to making inspirational quote posters, these random acts of kindness go a long way to making a positive impact in South Mississippi. Third grader Noah Young said, “It makes me happy to give these to other people and make them happy.”
Second grader Jordyn Walker said, “It’s really fun to just give them something kind and nice because it’s just really sweet to see the smile on their face when they see what you have given them.”
All of the students were eager to send their decorated trees out to kick off the holiday season.
