Student Released To Parents Gulfport

The student who brought *seven* weapons to a coast school yesterday has been released to his mother.

Gulfport Police tell News 25, that student was released from the Harrison County Youth Detention Center this morning.
Gulfport police received a call around 12:30 yesterday afternoon about a student from North Gulfport seventh and eighth grade school in possession of a firearm.
When officers arrived, they discovered a seventh-grade, male student brought not just one, but *seven* weapons to school.
Those weapons include a pellet gun and multiple knives – one of those knives in the shape of a firearm.
According to police, the 13-year-old brought the weapons to school on a dare.
Officers believe he had no intent of actually using any of the items.
