Student Brings Gun To School Pass Christian Elementary

A kindergarten student in Harrison County brought a gun to Pass Christian Elementary School Monday morning. Pass Christian Police Chief Tim Hendricks tells News 25 the student had the gun on campus for about 20 minutes before it was reported and found. He says the situation was handled quickly and effectively by all parties involved, including staff, administration and school resource officers. Investigators are now trying to find out why and how the student got a hold of a gun and brought it to school.
