Introducing our WXXV Student Athlete of the Week, Our Lady Academy’s Myah Favre!

If there’s ever a conversation about high school volleyball on the Mississippi gulf coast, odds are you’ll mention the dynasty of Our Lady Academy, and then if you keep talking about the Lady Crescents, you’ll definitely end up talking about this specific outstanding student athlete. Whether she’s slamming down balls in the middle or setting up her teammates for success, she’s doing everything she can to help her team. Introducing our WXXV Student Athlete of the Week, Our Lady Academy’s Myah Favre!

Leading the Lady Crescents in five different categories is senior middle hitter and also setter, Myah Favre, If that’s not already impressive enough, she’s 17th in the nation when it comes to her 383 kills, and is the nation’s leader with a .558 hitting percentage.

She makes it look effortless on the court, but things haven’t always come easy for the Miss Volleyball recipient. Farve went from sitting the bench her seventh grade year, to earning a starting position on varsity as an 8th grader. Now living on the volleyball court year round for six straight years, Favre says the game brings out the very best version of herself and she plans to hold on to it for as long as she can.
