Strong to severe storms possible late Thursday

Tonight: Cloudy tonight with areas of patchy fog possible and lows in the lower 60s. Winds will be from the south at 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday: A slight chance for showers during the day under cloudy skies with highs in the middle to upper 70s. Winds will be from the south at 15 to 20 mph. Scattered storms will be possible overnight with lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s. There is a slight risk for severe weather for the northern portion of our viewing area Thursday. Strong to severe storms will be possible along the approaching cold front with damaging winds the main threat. The front is expected to move through the region Thursday night.

Friday: Mostly sunny skies return with highs in the middle 60s. Lows will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s inland and middle 40s along the coast.

Saturday: Partly cloudy with high sin the mid-60s. Overnight lows will be in the lower 50s with a slight chance for rain.

Rain will be possible on Sunday with highs near 70. Isolated showers will be possible again Monday and Tuesday.
