Street sentencing hearing update

After being found guilty for the 2014 murder of 55-year-old Frankie Fairley, a school teacher and mother of 13, Scotty Street is awaiting his sentencing.
Today, the court heard testimonies from psychiatrists, including claims that street had suffered from a mental illness which may have impacted his actions leading up to the killing of Fairley. They stated that Street was diagnosed with schizophrenia and had episodes of paranoia. They reported instances where Street claimed his food was being poisoned and a time when he was hearing the voices of children in his air conditioning unit.
According to the doctors who testified, Street was admitted to the hospital for a few of these flare ups. The jury will determine if he will serve life without parole or face the death penalty.
