Storm damage in Jackson County
JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV) – The Jackson County Office of Emergency Services says more than six to eight inches of rain fell in the Hurley area alone.
County emergency officials also say there were three radar-verified tornadoes in the county, two in the Vancleave area and one in Hurley.
No injuries have been reported, but there is minor damage reported in the Fox Ridge and School Land Road areas of Vancleave.
The rainfall continued into Monday, stopping a little before the afternoon. This rainfall made the roads slick, and as a result, multiple crashes on I-10 have been reported.
Crashes before Rodriguez Street at Exit 2 caused delays in northbound lanes. Drivers had to be hyperaware and find alternate routes if available.
