Stone high school softball standout Raeghan Williams signs to continue her career at Reid State

Family and friends gathered at Stone high school to celebrate the milestone of Raeghan Williams signing to continue her softball career at Reid Sate.

Not only is Williams a talented pitcher, but takes care of business in the batters box as well with 11 hits and ten RBI’s. This moment is much bigger than celebrating her success on the field, but who she will be sharing the field with. Raeghan will now be pitching to her sister, Reeana, who currently catches at Reid State.

“I wasn’t expecting to go to college for softball until I really locked in on it, so the past three years I really locked in on trying to get college coaches and scouts and everything,” Williams said. “When Reeana got it I was like ‘Oh my gosh maybe this is my chance,’ so when she got it I was like man I’ve got this in the bag and I was excited to play with Reeana again.”

“It means a lot to me because if I’m behind the plate I can’t wait to help her out on the mound and when she’s hitting I’m going to cheer her on and we’re goin to fight on the field like always, but we’re going to get through it and help each other,” William’s sister Reeana said. “I can’t wait, and it’s going to be so fun.”
