Playoff Preview: Stone prepares for round two of football playoffs
For their second playoff game this year, the Stone Tomcats are looking to take down a Brookhaven team that finds themselves 10-1 heading into the matchup.
Stone and the Tomcats currently sit one game above .500 with a 6-5 record. But all records are thrown out the window when the playoffs come around. Coach Jacob Aycock and his players are well aware of what is at stake this weekend and they say they are ready for the bright lights of Friday night.
“Anytime we can get on this field in pads and get to run around and play is really awesome for our guys,” coach Aycock said. “I just keep telling them how special it is to get this chance.”
“…a lot of confidence because we know we are one of the best team in the state right now,” senior defensive lineman Dillon Sigman said. “We are one of four in the south and one of eight in the state. We just know every week could be our last so we don’t take anything for granted.
