Stone Girls Basketball’s Reina Hartfield signs with Tougaloo College

Another Stone High School signing courtesy of girls basketball standout Reina Hartfield who put pen to paper with Tougaloo College in Jackson.

The senior shooting guard says she made her decision two weeks ago, just five months after losing her grandmother, but never losing her drive to make her proud. “It’s definitely emotional. I’m trying to keep my cool right now because I know I worked hard for this. And then when I lost my grandma, that gave me a drive to work even harder and I know she’s supposed to be here.”

Hartfield says she’s going to major in biology on both an athletic and academic scholarship.
