Stone County Sheriff’s Department welcomes two new K9 officers

STONE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Stone County Sheriff’s Department is welcoming two new K9 officers to the team.

K9 Diablo and K9 Zeus joined the team last week.

Deputy Miles Gay and Sgt. Demetrius Scott have spent the last eight weeks with their new partners.

These dogs are trained in narcotics detection and tracking as well as apprehension.

The sheriff’s department says they are proud of their success in training and excited to see them serve the community.

The department also thanks Harrison County Sheriff Matt Haley and Chief Deputy Craig Necaise for allowing access to their training facility.
