Stone County Sheriff Candidate Forum tonight
The Stone County Republican Committee will host a candidate forum with the six men vying for the office of sheriff.
The forum will start at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at MGCCC in Perkinston.
Incumbent Sheriff Mike Farmer is retiring at the end of his current term, opening up the field for the six men who want to succeed him.
Steve Compston Jr., Roger Freeman, Lance Pearson, Brandon Reid, Todd Stewart, and Jeff Thomas all plan to speak at the forum.
The primary election is on August 8th.
