Stone County School District names new superintendent

A familiar face on the South Mississippi education scene is the next superintendent for the Stone County School District.

Current Moss Point High School Principal Boyd West will assume the top spot in the district at the end of the current school year.

The Stone County School Board voting in favor of West earlier this year. He replaces current superintendent Inita Owen.

You may recall the school board decided not to renew Owen’s contract back in January.
