Stone County prepares for Pine Hill Festival
The final preparations for Wiggins’ biggest festival of the year are underway on Pine Avenue.
The Pine Hill Festival is over 40 years old and originally began as a local event with only ten or so vendors.
This year Stone County Economic Development Partnership marked over 100 vendor spots for the festival.
Opening ceremonies will start Friday at 5 P.M. at Blaylock Park. The festival will open again on Saturday morning at 9.
Here’s everything you can expect to see:
“Y’all, the weather is going to be beautiful,” said Pine Hill Festival coordinator Sandra Kirke. “We’re going to have lots of entertainment, lots of food, good food trucks coming out. We’ll have lots of things for the kids to do. We’ll have a petting zoo. We’ve got a special little otter that’s going to be up on Pine Hill. Y’all come out and see us. It’s going to be a good time!”
