Stone County holds town hall meeting for transparency and communication

STONE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Stone County residents gathered at the McHenry Community Center for a town hall meeting Thursday.

The Stone County Sheriff’s Department organized the meeting which gave the community the opportunity to hear directly from their local law enforcement agency.

Sheriff Todd Stewart discussed the last year as a whole, noting the over 12,000 calls for service the department answered in 2025, pay raises for deputies, big cases, new programs, and much more.

Attendees were also given the chance to voice their concerns and directly ask the sheriff questions.
