Still No Education Funding Proposal

Lawmakers have agreed that any new education funding formula won’t raise the share that local districts must pay but still no word yet on when we could see a proposal.
Placeholder bills could be amended with details as lawmakers consider them before a Thursday deadline.
House Appropriations Committee Charman John Read of Gautier said he expects a plan in the next few days, but house speaker Philip Gunn said he is not sure.
