Steve’s Wet Mid-Week Forecast

Good evening!

This week brings meteorological change to Coastal Mississippi in the manner of needed rainfall. However, the heat is to stay with us with little relief, other than potential rainfall.

Expect hit-and-miss showers and thundershowers on Monday followed by increasing rain chances Monday night into Tuesday. By then, we’re in the 70 percent range for rain with thunderstorms possible. There’s also the risk for locally heavy rainfall with any storms on Tuesday and Wednesday as they’ll generally be slow-moving and abundant rain producers. Expect 2-4 inches by the end of Wednesday as a storm rainfall total.

High temps will still exceed 90 degrees for most locations through the week. Afternoon heat index values near and above 105 degrees will again be possible Monday, and late week.
